Cultural Township Tours
We are appealing to all visitors who might be travelling to South Africa during the soccer world cup to undertake a cultural township tour via the Amy Biehl Foundation. The cultural tours evolved from the many visitors expressing an interest in wanting to experience first hand the vibrancy of the children and arts and culture in the townships through our afterschool centres. We now have a tour group every week and have received many accolades from touring parties.
“….. Inspiring!!!, Captivating!!!, Motivating!!!, Life Changing!!! Absolutely Amazing….”

Feedback we have received:
Inspiring – motivating – captivating – life changing. Some of the words used by visitors to describe the tour.
“Thanks very much to all of you for arranging a most interesting, enlightening and enjoyable tour yesterday. We had great fun at Mzoli’s and were all suitably humbled by what we saw at the schools. The kids and facilitators were so happy and enthusiastic despite their hardships. It is clearly evident that you are making a huge difference in the lives of so many people and ultimately the future of South Africa. Well Done to all of you and your team. You can look forward to our continued support.” Donald Christy, Reeds
The Saffron Walden students, after taking the tour, awarded the Foundation their “Sixth Form Committee Award” together with a further donation.
“Dear Easy, Thank you for a truly inspiring tour, the foundation is doing amazing work and I feel honoured and privileged to be associated with it.” – James Fernie, Uthando (Love) SA
‘I just wanted to express sincere thanks on behalf of Helene and I for the most amazing experience in visiting the various projects today. A day truly to remember. We were overwhelmed by the talent and energy of the children and how they are thriving in the most basic of circumstances. Thanks also to Themba for being such an excellent host/tour guide. He excelled himself in answering our many questions and he explained so many sights and situations to us as we drove through the Langa and Nyanga. He was very relaxed and a pleasure to be with. What I experienced today made me realise what an incredible legacy the Biehl family have given to South Africa and in particular the Western Cape.’ – Muriel Connell
‘Thank you for the tour, our visitors had a great time, they loved every minute.’ - Monica
